Planned Burn Notice Warning Level: Advice Issued: 29 August 2025 Reserve: Weller Road Park AVOID SMOKE (HAZARD REDUCTION BURN) Weller Road Park fire as at 31 August 2025, weather permitting. Warning level: ADVICE Warning area: Weller Road Park and surrounding areas. Brisbane City Council will be undertaking a planned burn on 31 August 2025 at Weller Road Park to the west of Marshall Road, behind residences on Toohey Road, weather permitting. Council staff will be on site for the duration to ensure the safety of the area. Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions. Expected duration: This burn will commence at approximately 10.00am and continue into the early evening. Smoke dispersal: Smoke may impact surrounding properties and surrounding suburbs. The burn area will continue to generate smoke even after burn operations are completed. Management tracks in the area will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.
